I am pleased to join you as you mark this UN Day for South-South Cooperation.

与大家一起庆祝联合国南南合作日，我感到非常高兴。

The COVID-19 pandemic is the most complex immediate challenge facing our world and it is undermining hard won social, economic and environmental gains.

COVID-19疫情是全世界面临的最为复杂而又迫在眉睫的挑战。它正在毁掉社会、经济、环境各领域得来不易的成果。

In such trying times, the solidarity that underpins South-South cooperation has once again proven vital for developing countries.

在此艰难时期，团结互助这个南南合作的柱石再次显示出对发展中国家的重要性。

Throughout the pandemic, countries of the Global South have shared their knowledge and resources to support response and recovery efforts.

在整个疫情期间，全球南方国家相互分享知识和资源，为应对和恢复工作提供了支持。

But, together, we must do much more. We need deeper international cooperation to address the global health crisis, reduce poverty and inequality, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and avert climate catastrophe.

但是，我们整体上还必须采取更多行动。为了应对全球卫生危机、减少贫困和不平等、实现可持续发展目标、避免气候灾难，我们需要深化国际合作。

That means building inclusive and resilient societies, empowering women and youth, leveraging digital, greener and bluer initiatives, and expanding sustainable financing.

这意味着要建设包容型且有韧性的社会，要增强妇女和青年的权能，要采取数字化、使陆地更绿、使海洋更蓝的举措，还要扩大可持续融资。

South-South and triangular cooperation offer concrete solutions to these shared challenges.

南南和三方合作给应对上述共同挑战带来了具体解决办法。

The United Nations will continue to support these efforts – including through our System-wide Strategy on South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development.

联合国将继续支持这些努力，途经包括实施《联合国全系统南南和三方合作促进可持续发展战略》。

As the world seeks to ramp up COVID-19 response and recovery and tackle the existential threat of climate change, South-South and triangular cooperation is more essential than ever.

世界各国正在努力加大应对疫情、实现恢复的力度，同时也在应对气候变化对人类生存的威胁。此时，南南和三方合作比以往任何时候都更加重要。
