最近公众号"高斋CATTI”上更一些简单的汉译英批改解析，指出大家平时翻译中常见的基础错误。大家考前看看，可以避免考试中出这些基础错误。原文取自报告热点话题。

中华民族具有5000多年的文明发展史，各民族共同创造了悠久的中国历史、灿烂的中华文化。秦汉雄风、盛唐气象、康乾盛世，是各民族共同铸就的辉煌。多民族多文化是中国的一大特色，也是国家发展的重要动力。

With a civilization development that dates more than 5,000 years, Chinese nation create a long history and a splendid Chinese culture. The prosperity of the Qin and Han dynasty, the affluence of the Tang Dynasty and the success of Kangxi and Qianlong was cast by all the ethnic groups together. Multi ethnic and multi-cultural is a big feature of the Chinese nation and an important driving force for China’s national development.

1. 主次错误：今天的“中华民族具有5000多年的文明发展史”是总说，后面在分说文明成就，所以总说需要单独成句，不能翻译为with结构，用with导致这部分成了次要成分，可以修改为：

The Chinese nation has a civilization that dates back more than 5,000 years. Over these five millennia, all ethnic groups of China have created a long history and a splendid culture.

Over these five millennia是增译的部分，增译之后前后更连贯。

2. 冠词错误：“中华民族”是The Chinese nation，是特指，要加the。

3. 范畴词省译：“文明发展史”核心词是文明，这句话重心是在说中华民族具有5000多年的文明，“发展”可以当做范畴词不翻译，只能说The Chinese nation has a civilization...不能说The Chinese nation has a civilization development。

4. 缺介词：The Chinese nation has a civilization that dates to more than 5,000 years这部分里面dates to more than 5,000 years不对，追溯到5000年可以是dates back ...years.

5. 时态错误：原文是“各民族共同创造了”说明是已经完成，要用现在完成时have created，不能是一般现在时态create。

6. 重复：a splendid Chinese culture这部分译文里面Chinese重复了，前面已经说了是All ethnic groups of China，已经体现是中国了，后面“悠久的中国历史、灿烂的中华文化”不需要在翻译出Chinese。

7. 单复数：“秦汉”指的是秦朝和汉朝两个朝代，合在一起的话，是the Qin and Han dynasties，dynasties是复数。

8. 语义不明确：“康乾”表示这个朝代当时在位的皇帝，要具体说明是the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors of the Qing Dynasty，不然只是音译为Kangxi and Qianlong会意思不明确，不知道是表示朝代，还是表示人。

9. 简明英语：“秦汉雄风、盛唐气象、康乾盛世”这部分可以合译，“雄风”，“气象”，“盛世”指的都是国家繁荣昌盛，可以合译为The prosperity，“秦汉，唐”表示的是朝代，可以合译为the prosperity of the Qin, Han and Tang dynasties and during the reign of the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors of the Qing Dynasty。其中of...和during...并列，都是修饰prosperity的。

10. 选词不当：“共同铸就”的“铸就”不能直译为cast，这个词指的是浇铸；铸造青铜器等金属，不能搭配prosperity，今天的“铸就”意思是实现/打造，可以翻译为achieved。

11. 用词错误：“多民族多文化”不能直译为Multi ethnic and multi-cultural，Multi ethnic和multi-cultural都是形容词，不能做主语，这里可以说Ethnic and cultural diversity.

12. 搭配错误：“多民族多文化是中国的一大特色”这部分的“一大特色”指的是“显著特色”，不能说a big feature，big主要形容面积、体积、范围之大，可以改为a salient/distinctive/major/prominent feature。
